PRONG/DANZIG Guitarist TOMMY VICTOR Interviewed; Video Available
October 30, 2008HardTimes.ca conducted an interview with guitarist Tommy Victor (DANZIG, PRONG, MINISTRY) during the Canadian leg of DANZIG's Blackest Of The Black tour in October 2008. Watch the 10-minute chat below.
PRONG's latest album, "Power of the Damager", sold 1,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD "maintains the razor-sharp signature riffs band founder Tommy Victor has perfected over the last 20 years while harkening back to the rawness of PRONG's pioneering years as industrial metal's native son," according to a press release. "Most notable is the record's in-your-face production, which came courtesy of Victor himself."
Joining Victor in the PRONG trio is bassist Monte Pittman, a PRONG veteran who does double-duty as tour guitarist for none other than MADONNA, and drummer Aaron Rossi.
"Power of the Damager" is PRONG's first release for MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen's 13th Planet Records, a relationship that was kindled while Victor played with Jourgensen in MINISTRY.
